Eligibility
Is Upward Bound for you?
- Are you a rising freshman, sophomore, or junior who has at least a 2.5 GPA?
- Are you committed to attending college?
- Do you like to meet new people, challenge yourself, and learn and experience new things?
If so, then Upward Bound is the place for you!
To qualify for our programs, students must:
- Meet income guidelines (as defined by the US Department of Education), and/or;
- Be from a family where neither parent has obtained a four-year degree;
- Be a U.S. citizen, or naturalized or permanent U.S. resident and
- Attend a target high school
Upward Bound serves students at these high schools:
- Highland Park High School
- Free State High School
- Leavenworth High School
- Turner High School
- F.L. Schlagle High School
- Wyandotte High School
